Robert M. "Bob" and Bernie Bland originally from Chillicothe, Ohio, are the founders of Teen Missions International.
Bob has been the director since its beginning May 7, 1970 and is a former pastor, union plumber, and Youth for Christ director.
They also founded (and Bob directs) the ministry of AIDS Orphans & Street Children , which shares the Teen Missions headquarters in Florida.
Bob and Bernie were married in 1949 and have two children. Their daughter Cathy is married to Randy Stringer, a professor at Grove City College
in Pennsylvania, and they have two children, Joshua & Catherine Noel. Their son Robin married a former staffer, Maxine Boyle and they have two
children Joel Ray (deceased) and Tara. Robin works at the Kennedy Space Center and Maxine is the manager of the Sonrise R.V. Park.
Together Bob & Bernie faithfully carry out the vision of seeing young people serve the Lord around the world. When and if they have a spare
moment Bob can be found doing yard work and Bernie enjoying a book.
