1 Corinthians 15:57, 58
"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

Mandy grew up in Dundee, Oregon, and is the youngest of three children. As a child she was always interested in hearing about missionaries, but never considered it for herself until she went on her first team with Teen Missions to Brazil in 1996. Experiencing the primitive lifestyle of the team, becoming acquainted with a new culture and witnessing the salvation of many people had a lasting effect on her. She “Bridged the Gap” during Debrief that summer, committing her life to full-time Christian service. The following summer she went on another team, this time to Norway.

After graduating from high school in 1999, Mandy spent some time living in Mexico where she worked at an orphanage for mentally and physically disabled children. In 2002, a year and a half after moving back to Oregon, she returned to Teen Missions to attend the BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK (BMW) Training Center. While serving her internship at the Florida Headquarters, she worked in the Personnel Department and cooked for the BMW students. Mandy graduated from BMW in 2005 and now works on staff as the BMW Cook and Office Assistant. She led a Peanut Team, Jungle Painting, in 2003, and has led four Preteen Teams: ’03 Indiana Puppet/Clown, ’04 New Mexico, ’05 France and ’06 Germany. In 2007 she led a Teen Team: Mozambique Foot Washing.
