Robbie spent most his life at Hope House, a Christian children’s home in Idaho. In 2002 he went on his first Teen Missions mission trip to Tanzania. A few years later, he was adopted by a Hope House staff couple. In 2005 he decided to attend Florida Free Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center to be more involved in missions and get a fresh start on life. It was a life-changing experience for him, both spiritually and physically. During his time at BMW, he met and fell in love with his future wife, Jessica.

Jessica grew up in a Christian family in southern Alabama. Her first experience with Teen Missions was on a Florida Preteen team at age 11 and she has been to Boot Camp every year since. It has been said that once Teen Missions gets in your blood you can’t get it out, which was the case for Jessica. In 2004, after an eye opening, life-changing team to Mozambique, Jessica felt God calling her into full-time ministry. She began her missions training at BMW in 2004.

Robbie and Jessica’s romance began on a BMW student mission trip to Ecuador when Robbie expressed his feelings to Jessica. After much debate and doubt on Jessica’s part, they began dating in May of 2006 and Jessica hasn’t regretted it since! They were married a year and a half later on November 10, 2007. Robbie and Jessica both enjoy being married (for the most part!) and consider each other to be their best friend. In February 2008 they began their BMW internships at the Teen Missions Headquarters. Robbie works in the US/Canada Teams Department and Jessica works in Personnel. They are looking forward to what God has planned for them during their internship year.
